Jeremy Edward Shiok, Publisher

Jeremy has lived in Alaska since 2000. A native of New England, his work has appeared in many publications including Inkwell, Common Ground Review, The Carnegie Mellon Poetry Review, The Gihon River Review, and Cold Flashes: Literary Snapshots of Alaska just to name a few. He received his MFA from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2003. In 2004 a selection of his poems was translated into Italian by Giuliana Manganelli and printed as Mudseason & Other Poems in Genova, Italy. Jeremy founded Cold Press Publishing in 2007 to support specialty print projects including Two Review: A Journal of International Poetry and Creative Nonfiction, which is published annually. He is also an adjunct faculty member of the English department at UAA and business writer active in a number of industries. Jeremy is currently working on a multifaceted historical memoir based on the WWII tour of duty of his grandfather, who served in the 1941-1943 Central Pacific campaigns while in the United States Marine Corps.
